The Queensland Museum receives approximately 70 per cent of its operating budget from the Queensland Government.
We look to the wider community to help bridge this funding gap and generate the support required to realise new initiatives.
The Queensland Museum Foundation Trust was established in 2003 to raise funds to support the state-wide programs of the Queensland Museum.
A charitable trust, endorsed by the Australian Tax Office as a tax deductible gift recipient, the Foundation raises funds through donations, corporate sponsorship, bequests and philanthropic grants.
Funds raised by the Foundation are supported by a capped matching subsidy from the Queensland Office of Gaming Regulation. All administration and operating costs associated with fundraising are met by the Board of the Queensland Museum, and therefore every dollar of support directly benefits the work of the Queensland Museum.
You can help us share all of Queensland’s past, present and future stories by donating to the Foundation.
Would like to help us tell all of Queensland’s great stories? Because we’ve got a little project just for you!
