| About Queensland Museum Foundation |
The Queensland Museum Foundation is the primary fundraising body for the Queensland Museum.
While the Queensland Government provides generous support for the operation of the Queensland Museum network, the realisation of new initiatives is often reliant upon external support.
The Queensland Museum Foundation (Foundation) was established in 2003 by the Board of the Queensland Museum to raise funds to support the state-wide programs and strategic priorities of the Queensland Museum.
The Foundation assists the Queensland Museum to:

 | acquire and conserve objects and specimens that represent the state’s natural and cultural heritage. | |
create exhibitions and displays that showcase Queensland’s stories, culture and biodiversity. | |
undertake scientific research to document and increase understanding of our native fauna. |

In the 2008 – 2009 financial year the Foundation received over $590,000 in new pledges and $895,000 in new donations and honoured pledges pledges in support of the many projects underway at the various campuses of the Queensland Museum.
Funds raised by the Foundation are supported by a capped matching subsidy from the Queensland Office of Gaming Regulation.
As well as raising funds in support of the strategic priorities of the Queensland Museum, the Foundation provides an opportunity for individuals and businesses to be part of Queensland’s changing story.
The Foundation is administered by a group of Trustees under the Chairmanship of Mr David Liddy, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer and of Bank of Queensland Limited.
Through its exhibitions, research, events, public programs and other services the Queensland Museum reaches out to all Queenslanders. The Foundation fosters meaningful and rewarding personal and corporate partnerships and offers you the opportunity for closer association with this much-loved institution the Queensland Museum.
